basically would a mxr 6 band eq sound better than a behringer eq?? or a maxon sound better than a boss... i was jsut wandering becasue if they didnt i dont know why people would buy the more expensive one, and if they do sound better why??? for some reason to me my eq makes my 6505 sound generic. if that makes sense. it takes gain away and alot of the hissing.. but i cant really put my finger on what it sounds and is doing to my amp tone but i dont like it.. i have it in the loop would that be a reason?? i havent tried it out front yet.. were would i put it in my chain. before or after my OD pedal??? as of right now i am not using it do to not liking it, but from what I have read they can help the over all tone of any amp.. some people love them and others hate them.. if anyone can explain this to me and give me advice on trying to use it i would be very grateful...

I don't know an awful lot about different brands, but I love my $25 Danelectro EQ. Adds something I can't live without to my sound. No noise issues at all.

the difference in brands/price will mean say less hiss/noise , better signal/noise ratio etc..

for example i found the danelectro fish&chips better than the boss eq i had, they did the same thing but the boss or at least the one i had added a bunch of hiss/white noise that wasn't cool, the danelectro is super cheap as well
