Does this decrease the guitar value?

I have a jackson soloist sl2h, I installed dunlop strap locks and threw away the stock strap buttons. My question is, does that somehow decrease the value if I were to sell it? would it not be considered 100% stock anymore?

I'm sure there is some neurotic maniac out there that will answer yes, but to me not in the slightest. You've be saving me time.

Not to me. I put shallers on all of my guitars and the the stock buttons are in an organizer tray all lumped together. Couldnt tell you which ones went to which guitar.

Since it's not a vintage/historic/collectible guitar I wouldn't worry about it, it has no impact on value.

Worthless now, ship it to me and I'll throw it away for you.

Yeah, stuff like that doesn't matter on a Jackson or most modern guitars - I always keep the original buttons just so if I sell, I can take the locking buttons back off and use them elsewhere..

Non-vinatge guitars are a completely different game than the true vintage stuff (basically pre-70's).
I was selling a '57 TV Special back in the early 90's and actually told a buyer to get out after he spent almost an hour obesessing over whether one of the pickguard screws was original or not and trying to knock me way off my price because of his uncertainty. That was the exact moment that I realized I hated the collector mentality and those who subscribed to it. It made me want to start buying up vintage guitars and slapping Floyds on all of them ;)
