I'm looking for a tremolo pedal that is the typical Boss/MXR size that has an external tap tempo input.

Does this exist???

Thanks in advance

The HardWire TR-7 has tap tempo built in. One of those things where you have to hold down the foot switch for 3 seconds to go into the tap tempo mode. I never really liked those. But it is an option. The only others I can think of are a little bigger than what you are wanting such as the http://www.catalinbread.com/semaphore with the dedicated tap tempo button. Sorry I couldn't be of anymore help.

Hey man thanks for the effort. I already have the Seymour Duncan Shape Shifter that I modded myself by adding an input at the tap tempo switch. It works great with my Boss FS-5U external tap but the problem is I want to downsize my pedalboard and that damn Shape Shifter is too big. The reason I need an external tap is because I control two Boss delays and a tremolo off of one external tap switch.

think the dr scientist tremolessence has those features:

two expression inputs for either controlling speed or depth , looks like the ticket , can also set the trem for momentary or latching, for glitch like effects , very cool

otherwise there's small ones with a tap tempo, this one perked my interest definitely:

or this has an expression input for tremolo and a tap, but much too large i think for what you're after

the Suhr Jack Rabbit has something that might work for you

I looked into that initially but I found out that if you use an external switch you will need two of them, one to control the tempo and one to control the effect on off. Basically, the footswitch on the pedal doesn't do anything when you connect an external controller.
Thanks for the input though

someone from Dr. Scientist emailed me back today and said that the Tremolessence will not work because the inputs are only for "expression" pedals, not momentary tap type controllers like I use. I don't understand, you would think these manufactures would realize that many people would like to have one tap pedal send a signal to multiple effects.

I own this pedal and it sounds BEAUTIFUL!! Totally agree though, wish Ryan would've built it to use a tap tempo switch. Too hard to get the tempo/timing just right with only an exp. pedal.
