Deluxe? Work really great for most gigs, sound killer too, but no clean tone if you have to get on top of a loud drummer/band. One of the jam hosts around here has a badass SF deluxe so rich and beefy with a LP/ES.

I remember the first time I learned this lesson. I had been playing high gain for awhile, so i figured an amp couldn't be too loud.
I bought a plexi to have modded, but Shea wouldn't let me send it to him without playing it. So i plugged in and hit the strings. It was more than i wanted, and i didnt even make it to very high on the gain.
That was a loud fucking amp

No, you said you chuckle at people claiming 18 watts is loud. I found it to be not only snarky, but a tongue-in-cheek personal insult. I was speaking about the Budda Superdrive 18 specifically, from first-hand experience owning one. I'll just hit the ignore button going forward so I don't have to read your high horse drivel.

I had a Budda Super Drive 18 and I can confirm it`s loud AF lol . I made the mistake of wanting to use it as a bedroom amp though . Not whisper quiet or anything like that but it just wasn't gonna work as i had planned . Now wishing I would've kept it since I have somewhat of a jam room and a little bit of knowledge to tame itSorry man, I've just never heard an 18 watt amp that was actually loud AF.

I had a SuperDrive 18. It had no taper on the volume knob, but also wasn’t loud enough to keep up with my band. Lose-lose

My Peavey 5150 2x12 Combo had the same damn issue. When they were prototyping that amp, James Brown fixed the volume jump issue by changing the spec of the volume control potentiometer but Ed had him put it back into Zero to NUKE mode.
