Sounded great finally a good guitar tone on there, Lynch's wasnt bad just too much Wah!!
 
I watched it last night. I'm a huge Doug fan from back in the late 80's seeing him in clubs.

Tone and playing on TMS = Meh.

Success that he is enjoying now = Awesome.

Man, I'm so glad someone else said it. The performance and tone in that TMS video did absolutely nothing for me. Meaningless and not even particularly well-executed wanking. The only thing I kinda liked was on of the rhythm things he played. As soon as the wanking started each time, I was ready to head for zee hills...

John 5 is the only one I've seen on there that did anything worth listening to.

As always with all these pros, he's way better than me, but what he played and the way he sounded didn't appeal to me in the least...

Doug just set the standard for everyone else to follow. He destroyed that night.
Finally someone not afraid to just play. He was having fun.

Focus on all things metal

Good guests and players.

It's hard to bitch about this show in general. In a dub step era, and metal players going on about Justin Timberlake, TMS is a solid hit.

John 5 was pretty awesome, but I liked the playing content of Steve Stevens best overall.
