So I've been using JamUp/BIAS for a few months, and I'd like to be able to do whole songs with a friend. Ideally, what I'd like to be able to do is record rhythm guitar, fake a bass somehow, have some preprogrammed drum loops (4/4 metal stuff, mostly) all in the same track and then send it to a friend to solo over.

Anybody done this using JamUp? I could do it using Audiobus into GarageBand from what I understand, but I don't know how the drums would work/come in, and I need an app for those.

As you can tell, I'm a complete noob at this stuff, so any help is appreciated. Is there a drum app compatible with JamUp/Audiobus/GarageBand with built in metal loops? I've tried using Reaper and Audacity, and seriously, for a noob that does this as a hobby/fun it's just too complicated with the MIDI and drum loop rolls...that shit frustrates the FUCK out of me.   My friend is pretty much the same way, which is why I'm looking for a simpler solution for this...everything I've recorded with JamUp/BIAS into Soundcloud is WAY easier...I'm not exactly an old hand with GarageBand, but it's more intuitive to me and I dig that all the levels seem to integrate better.

Thanks guys.

search online for midi loops of the type of beat you're looking for so you don't have to program notes. you can then import the midi file into garageband and select drums as the virtual instrument. as you work with rearranging the beats and sequencing parts as midi you'll get more comfortable and be able to program your own. there are a ton of free loops available with a google search, but you will find its not too difficult to make your own.
