DS Custom - Pedalboard Interface finished

Hey guys,

Today I finished a Pedalboard Interface for a local guy. He requested an Interface that contains two Buffers, one Buffer is located at the Amp Return and the other Buffer is located at the FX Loop Return.

That thing looks great. Pardon my noob question, but could you explain what the purpose of it is? How will the customer utilize it?

Thanks for the kind words. The purpose of a Pedalboard Interface is, that you can have a fixed wiring on your Pedalboard and just plug in your cables to the Interface. Another good thing about an Interface is that if you use different amps on the road, for example some with FX Loops and some without, you don't have to rewire your board to the corresponding amp configuration. This way you just have to plug in your cables to the Interface and it detects if you use an amp with or without FX Loop.
I made a little drawing for this:

Here you use an amp without an FX Loop, the Interface detects that no FX Loop is used and routes the Chorus pedal after the Overdrive pedal in the signal chain. This leads to:
Guitar --> Overdrive --> Chorus --> Amp

Here the scenario with a FX Loop:

The Overdrive pedal will be routed to the Amp Input whereas the Chorus pedal will be in the Loop.
