I realize this thread is ancient, but hopefully you see this.
Do you use the 3560 for all surfaces with success? (i.e., a laminated Trailer Trash top, powdercoated finish on pedals, painted metals, etc).
Also, is it ok to apply by just mating the pieces to the pedal and sticking it to the board? Or is it necessary to apply each piece individually using the rolling method that 3M specifies? I've always done this with velcro in the past but I realize the 3M product is different.

I don't know anything about a rolling method. Just stick it down. Oh on the pedals make sure they are cleaned off of any rubber and adhesive so the stuff sticks. Same with the surface of the board.
