You get so good tones!!!

How is the recorded? Any filters?

And it’s incredible how the old 2203/2204’s does everything well!

I liked both, but the Rectifier definitely sounded fuller with more good in it.

Both sounded great.
I'd like to learn more about the settings.
Was the Dual on tube rectification.
Did you try to dial them in similar?
As expected the Marshall had more sag and fizz.
Not in a bad way BTW.
Seemed you were going more for an 80's rock vibe?
If that is the case, I'd say the Marshall won by a bit
Both can do the trick though - I'd like to see you do the same thing but with modern tones

The hell is that plicking sound on the leading edge of all of the notes?

Much preferred the JMP.

Need more info. What tubes are in the Marshall... EL34 or 6550? Same with the Recto, what tubes.

Are both amps into the same cabinet?

Sounds great!
You can def hear the DR thang it does.
Hard to go wrong with either amp.
Best is both combined. Do that clip!

I’m pretty sure he uses a Reactive load

Mesa- stock 6L6. Chinese preamp. Silicon/Bold.

Marshall is stock no mods. RFT/Siemens EL34 and RFT 12ax7s in pre.

Wasn’t dialing them in to sound similar. Just two amps I dig being played next to each other.

The 2203 can only go so far into “modern”. Maybe an od pedal or eq or something but it sounds that way no matter what when I’m playing. It has its sound and does it well. Nonetheless, I like the idea and may do that soon!

What are you running the amps through?
