alright guys, my Little Joe is here! got it this morning...

I'll write a full review of the amp in a few days after I spend more time with it and learn to tweak it more.

But so far it's AMAZING.....the little guy can do ANYTHING....for real.

Features:

Duesentrieb Little Joe

-20w

-6v6 tubes

-Serial and Parallel loop

- 110 - 240volts ready (I'm currently in Europe, but I'm going back to American next year so this RULES!

-It's got a bright switch which is great if you're into that cool bright telecaster/country stuff, I dug it for that, but I'm a warm blues guy, so it's staying off most of the time.

-2 channels:

* Channel 1 has a "fat" switch, which basically turns the amp into a warm blues machine without the Fat switch it's got more "modern" cleans, amazing too.
* Channel 2 has a -/+ mode. (-) mode has 3 gain stages and goes from blues to metal, seriously! this mode I like a LOT sounds GREAT, the Mid control in very touchy, if you add too much it'll sound a bit harsh but in the sweet spot is  (+) mode is hell braking loose! gain to die for, the edwards in the neck position here sounds warm a fuck but with sustain for days!

- 3 button Footswitch (I can switch between ch 1 and ch 2 modes -/+

anyways, it's enough....I love it, more videos with my different guitars and better playing! I was cold as fuck and did it too soon, but I wanted to show the world the little bastard!

here it is:

I recorded it using the macbook built in mic, that's why it distorts a little, I'll mic it in my next videos

I'm glad that you like it Joey. Thanks for the kind words and the smooth deal.

hmmm intersting question

well it's 20w. so it doesn't sound as BIG as the Eisntein, but still sounds huge for a 20 w.

I find it less "modern" than the Einstein, and is very Marshally.....like on steroids! but I need to spend more time with it and play all my guitars through it to give a fair/true comparison!

How does it compare to the Einstein? :)
They don't have much in common: Einstein runs at 480 Volts, this at 350V (6V6s). Einsteins clean is modern and hardly breaks up, this comes off a typical Fender design (with some tweaks though) to be able to get some preamp and poweramp distortion at higher volume levels. From the vid you can hear that even in the "unfat" mode it starts to distort with EMGs (with single cloils it shines and sparkles like a Fender). The gain sounds are more traditional, but not off a typical Marshall (modded or unmodded), but "my idea of a traditional open sounding high gain" sound, able to do rythms or lead, which (and thats the only similarity to Einstein's channel 2) get more compressed the higher the gain is set, also due to the lower voltages of course,
This amp has neither a presence nor a deep, so it creates high-mids and botom end (which is less compared to Diezels) different and less tight (voltages).

:)

Sounds really nice, I did'nt realize how small it was, until I it was on top of the other amps.

Nice one Olaf !

Merci.

Its more for home use and recording than gigging - or to be loaded down (I will build something into my next Little Joe Mk2) and then sent into an Axe FX :D (serious).

It's hard to judge clean sounds with that particular guitar, but, man, that distorted plus mode was awesome.

I'd like to hear some clean stuff with a stratocaster.

yeah, I mean.... Olaf doesn't like EMGs, as a lot of people don't, I really dig them... wouldn't swear by them or anything, but so far for hi-gain I like them.

I have a set of S/S/85 in my other strat (two single coils and an 85) and they're just SICK, very "fender like" I think the clean channel on this amp REALLY comes alive with a strat, Olaf designed it for a strat in mind (am I correct Olaf?)

I'll make a new video with a strat today, and obviously, mic'd I'm VERY happy with it, ch2 in the (+) mode is SWEET for leads, the (-) is where is at for rythms though

I didn't design it for a Strat, Joey - I just think the clean channel sounds much better with passive pickups, either splitted buckers or s-coils. It sparkles just more, you know . . .

Interessant, where can you buy it?? and how much it costs??
Thank you

Sounds great! Nice playing but I'd love to hear that amp on the gain setting with someone ripping on some VH or Lynch type stuff; rolling the guitars volume up and down a bit etc.

Great home amp which is super cool! Bravo.
