Okay, the presence knob.

Is it correctly functioning if the sound gets darker and slightly quieter(lower output) as one turns the knob clockwise?

This seems to be opposite of what normal amps do. Plus, the volume normally shouldn't change.

Or does my unit have a cap that isn't functioning properly???

there shouldnt be any volume loss. I will mess with a couple of fishes i have at the shop today and see if I notice anything

Bogner got back to me and said what I described is totally normal.

My fish is the same way,,sort of backwards presence control....but it works, none the less.
