The incredibly nice guys over at Seymour Duncan asked me if they could send a few pickups my way to check out. Of course I said HELL YES!

This is also the first video using a KT88-powered DV Mark Triple 6. I dig it.

I've been lookin' hard at those Triple 6s, but there's not enough user opinions out there yet. What do those things sound like alone, like what other amps are in the same ballpark? The couple clips I've seen sounded Mesa-ish, but I haven't heard it raw at all.

I dug the Screamin' Demons more here. There's something about the Livewires I didn't like, I can't really pinpoint it.

Great video, keep it up!

Thanks man!

The Triple 6 is in the Recto family but a bit more versatile and way tighter. Love the KT88's too. The amp auto-biases the power tubes and you can hook up DV's controller and mess with tune voltages and stuff. Love it! DV Mark Triple 6 (raw guitars included) coming soon!

Sweet vid man, that DV Mark Triple 6 sounds great!
Both pickups are similar, but the Scramin' Demon had just a tad more bite.

Yeah I had a difficult time getting the Demon to chunk up, as its made for leads ya know?

Thanks for watching dude!

Screamin Demon ... thicker , fuller .... the black out has some weird fizz to it

They both sound pretty similar. I think I like the screamin' demon a little better.

I remember I got a set of livewires when they first came out and I couldn't warm up to them. It seemed like I had a problem getting a really sharp sound out of them.

Great vid

+1 on this!

I am really surprised the Screamin' Demon was doing metal that good.
Had them in several guitars and they always seemed to fall a little short in the metal dept.
Your video sounds great.

What I didn't show was the 3 days I spent trying to get the Screamin' Demon to do that.

Seriously I had to play with overdrives, speakers, mics, cables everything. It was nearly microphonic and I had to sit like I was otherwise it would just feedback if I stopped playing. Good times!

Yeah...I know that one....trying to push that Demon into Metal land. :D
For the clip purposes....the Demon sounded really crisp and clear.
The Live wire....sorta over saturated. But again....clips compared to the IN ROOM tone...I am sure I would like the Livewires.
