Who has tried one of these??? They are a really bad ass pick up for high gain stuff, they are super tight and articulate. They have plenty of definition and clarity. The price has gone up a bit, but they are worth it. They don't get a lot of attention because not many people have tried them. My friend had a Lynch Tiger, all maple body, and it had a Super V, and it sounded huge! I put one in a Charvel Custom Shop and yet again, it sounded huge and that was in an alder body. I ended up getting the Tiger from my friend. I sold it on here to a guy who swore by EMG's. He got the Tiger and said he was not putting EMG's in it, that the Super V blew him away and was keeping it and liked it better than the EMG"s!

If you have not tried one, do it, they rock really hard!! I would take it over just about any pup!

here is a link to the only demo I could find! It does not fully capture the pups sound, but it is better than nothing.

according to the video description the pup HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED!!! This is a disaster!! Looks like I will have to pick up a few used. Maybe some shops still have some, I don't know, but that sucks!! Wow, I cant believe they have been discontinued! If any of you guys want an awesome pup that is great for tight rhythm or ripping leads, get one if you can find one. I promise you, you wont regret it.

Just checked the Duncan site and the Super V is still on there in the Custom Shop. I don't know if it has been discontinued? The description for the Super V demo vid says it has, but the Duncan site still has it listed in their Custom Shop???

The Super V is based off of an old JB prototype. When Lynch was designing the Super V, he was given an old prototype that was almost used as the JB, and the Super V is based on that.

Another thing, the output is rated a 17, but it feels and sounds like it is closer to a PAF. The 17 output is kind of misleading.

No. I really was interested in them when I first heard about them. I did not buy it because I am a big Lynch fanboy and a lot of his endorsed products (Zoom G2G, Morley Tripler, etc.) were not that good IMO. I figured that if they were cool then there would be a little noise about them. So I went and got some of his Shreddies

I wouldn't mind testing it out, but the ones I found were $170. And there now is an Arcane pickup that Lynch has either designed or endorsed.

I've sent 5 emails to Arcane to purchase a pickup set and had no response.
Will never buy from them now.
