Hi,

Anyone here tested a Dunlop rack wah? How do You like it? I currently own a Dunlop JP95 Petrucci wah which should be the rack wah in pedal format but I’m still interested in the rack unit.

Used one for years, it was just fine. Not great, maybe, but pretty good, definitely good enough for live work. I might not be the best to ask because I've never been that heavily into wah. I like the character of my RMCs better, but the rack wah was as good as any Dunlop I've played. I have not tried the JP95, though.

I've had one in my rack for years. It's great. It's extremely adjustable though, so there are a lot of bad tones in there while you twist the knobs. When running wireless with everything else located at the backline, it was the only sensible option. If running cables on the ground and a pedalboard, I probably wouldn't splurge on one but once I located all the pedals in a rack drawer, it was a nobrainer to go this route for me.

That's exactly why I used one, too. Had all the pedals in a drawer, had the wah controller on a board with the MIDI controller. And yeah, there's a lot of bad tones in there, too, especially with that EQ. I never used the EQ more than a few dBs here and there.

YW, hope it helped! If there's anything specific about them you'd like to know, just LMK. I still have mine.
