Other than the stock pedal that comes with this, has anyone else used another pedals as the wah controller? Will any kind of expression pedal work?

Pretty sure it would have to be a specialized expression pedal to work. Dunlop is using a stereo cable to transmit resistance of the sweep and the switching (which I’m pretty certain is momentary). They are either using all three lugs of the pot and doing some fancy switching inside the rack unit, or doing something like line6 and rely on a specific value of pot to be used, with a separate run for the switch. My bet is the latter, but I haven’t checked my controller pedal to tell for sure.

You can buy extra expression pedals specifically for it for prices in the same range as standard volume pedals and wahs, so I'd probably just contact them and purchase one if you need one.

I own one of these units and a couple of pedals. I'll take a look tonight and see if I can figure out what's going on inside. They aren't super complicated.

Thanks for the responses. I tried searching online and couldn't find much about the controller pedal itself. It looks like to control the volume function any 25K pedal would work it seems. Mainly wanted to see if I can use one of these https://missionengineering.com/shop-2/p ... ssionator/ and my existing expression pedals so I can control multiple functions (including the wah) with just one pedal.

I have one and only the Dunlop pedals work. I asked RJM and Mission for a custom pedal to use with it and they also said Dunlop designed it to only work with their pedals made for the rack wah.

Honestly sell the DCR-2SR and get a 1SR, my friend worked for one of the "Big 4" and had a problem with treble bleed on the 2SR units. Replaced them all with 1SR.

In fact there is a good deal on a 1SR with pedal on Reverb right now for 250. I paid over 500 for mine a few years ago.
