HI guys...whats the advantage of buying an E2 over an M4. With a Mod 50 head the E2 gives u 4 modules, or the M4 into the effects return will give u 4 modules, and 2 in the head. [Although u would have to reroute for the head modules]. Im guessing there wouldnt be a lot of price diff between the E2 with 2 modules and the M4 with 2 modules? Maybe im missing something here. please enlighten me!..thx Macka

As far as the E2,I think the ability to virtually plug and play into any effects return and switching capabilities .I love the M4 but the Mod and E2 sounds like a match made in heaven! My 0.02 worth :D

I plan to make a smaller "dual amp" rig with 2 E2s where I can use very low tech switching between them if necessary without necessarily using my Sound Sculpture Switchblade. That may stay in the big rig. Modules...what a totally brilliant idea!

So the E2 is not just a 2 module version of the M4?

Not quite...it has additional switching so you can use it in the loop of an amp head and switch it completely in/out to enable you to use the amps regular pre-amp....at least that's my understanding.

I guess this might be a bit like using the '4 cable method' some people use on preamp/fx processors ?
