i say every guitar player should have Guitarport to jam on. Riffworks is a great sketch pad to have for quick jams or even song ideas.

Riffworks is a loop based program. i chose a beat, recorded a rhythm. improvised over it and then added a second lead part, selected the first part again and then used the dual part twice to the fade out.

Used my 2004 Les Paul with the Detroiter pickup.

Very nice playing.

I use Riffworks, great little tool for jamming ideas.

I played all the guitar parts below.

https://www.soundclick.com/player/single ... i&newref=1

Guitar used: Gibson Les Paul Gothic w/EMG 81/85 pups, D'Addario XL 10-46 strings, Fender Graffiti heavy pick, Eb tuning
Bass used: Gibson Les Paul Gothic w/EMG 81/85 pups (not a typo   ), D'Addario XL 10-46 strings, Fender Graffiti heavy pick, Eb tuning
Guitar Amps used: PODxt Live: Clean - L6 Sparkle Clean, Rhythm and Solos - 1968 Plexi Variac'd w/all knobs dimed :D

Notes for above track:
All guitars and bass are single tracked with the exception of the lead lines @ 48-58 sec, they were triple tracked and blended/panned to give that section an "airy" quality.
All clean tracks used the EMG 85 pup
All hi-gain rhythm tracks used the EMG 81 pup
Solo/lead lines and pup used: EMG 85 @ 26-41 sec and 59-1.10 sec, EMG 81 used 42-58 sec.
Bass guitar tracks used the EMG 85 pup
Bass guitar tracks start at 16 seconds in
Guitar volume and tone controls at full on for all tracks

But, cool playing and jam.

That was fun as hell Mark. I have a Toneport UX2 that I use for jamming but Im recording challenged. That sounded great!!!

Mark, how do you like the Detroiter? What would you compare it to. (BTW, great tone & phrasing as always)...

Eric

Thanks guys!

The Detroiter is a killer beefed up paf.
i had a Blackbelt set in the guitar before and liked the Detroiter set better so i kept them in.
as you know guitars make a difference and the Detroiter set just sounded better for what i was looking for in this guitar.

Interesting...I have a 2nd Degree Blackbelt, which I love...and an Angel Dust, which is considerably hotter. I wonder if the Detroiter might be the best of both worlds?

Reading about the three, it seems you might be correct. Ask Wade what he thinks. ;)
