It's not a Private Stock as the seller says, but it is a cool piece of history.

Oh Snap!!! The guitar is cool but Im not a fan of red and I only seem to be able to play 1 out of every 30 PRS's that I come across. Ive always wanted to like them but cant seem to get comfortable on them... I love what Neal has done to them though..
 
If that is even remotely real, that seems like a really good deal. Private Stock, and conversion alone would cost about that much, let alone the fact that Neal would have owned and used it. If I had the cash and actual provenance could be proven, I would be totally be interested.

This..... Bananas at large, which sells a bunch of neal schon gear was selling neals identically modded private stock prs's for upwards of 35k....

Yeah I remember that........I really wanted that beautiful PRS that was his main Axe for the Arrival Tour in '01.......I requested the price quote when it came up for sale on Bananas' site. I about shit when I received the quote: $35,000.00. I was thinking around 10K at the time. :lol: :LOL:
 
Vai once auctioned his old Alcatrazz Jackson among other items for a charity event. It sold for approx 5k. I nearly passed out since I of course didn't have $500 to my name at that moment, but would have easily paid $5k had I had it. I mean the historical significance of that guitar in a rock context is huge (to me at least.) Throw in that it is an old USA Jackson, was in Dimarzio ads, and the price was just a stupid good deal...and it was for charity. This would be very similar to that if real.
