Eddie Van Halen: The Lost Interview with Steve Rosen (1978)

This interview was done shortly before Van Halen II was released.

Tons of amazing interviews with Edward can be found on YT , one of the best is with Jas O right after VH's debut album was released.

Yep, that's a good one. If I remember correctly, that's the one where Eddie lied and said he cranked up the voltage to get his sound out of his Marshalls. A lot of people fried their amps because of that and years later he said he felt terrible about it.

I remember that one. It's great. The interview I'm referring to is his first one, back in '78. Here it is:

"Here is the complete recording of what Eddie Van Halen would later call "my first interview." We did it at the side of a basketball court set up backstage at the Day on the Green Concert at the Oakland Coliseum on July 23, 1978. Eddie fans -- especially those who are into his guitars and guitar playing -- here's where it all begins!" - Jas Obrect
