He did give it to Jason Becker. It was recently up for auction to help cover his medical bills.
My favorite part of that video is when Ed says the music comes from a higher place THROUGH him, not from him.

Ed sucks big time!!! plain horrible noodling.
I feel with him, guess everybody does have these days, but you don't expect it from a guy of his legendary status (<- guess also kind of my fault).
I know these situations. It's actually easier to play in front of a1000 people (anonymous mass) than with a single or hand full of people in a room, where everybody focuses on you and given the situation you get total blockage.
But why does he even feel the need to show of something impressive ('which he clearly couldn't deliver) at his status. (could have just went with a variation of erruption or something)
I guess he is intimidated by Beckers presence.
I bet he had a pick in his pocket, but hoped he would get through with the missing pick excuse

i'm pretty sure I've seen this footage before. I think it was on Jason's Hotlicks vhs maybe??
