Effect of RWRP middle Single Coil pickup in a strat

Just looking for what your guys think about a strat with a RWRP middle pickup in a Strat with traditional (non hum canceling SC pickups). As a little background the RWRP middle gives you hum canceling in positions 2 and 4 on a strat.

For those that notice a difference going to a RWRP middle, please explain what you notice.

What a difference a Forum makes. https://www.thegearpage.net/board/showth ... p?t=759484 I am hearing a difference and its not just lack or noise.

Here is what I should hear with a stock wound middle pickup:
'here's what Bareknuckle pickups says from their site. "A stock middle coil will have more mid range on the in between positions of the 5 way selector and not be hum canceling.You'll also notice marginally more volume across the whole set of 3 coils."'

When I changed out my Suhr FL middle pickup that was not RWRP to a RWRP middle, I noticed less quack in positions 2 and 4. More mids and a thicker sound in positions 2 and 4. The guitar seemed to sound more modern. With the standard would middle, I got more of a washed out sound on 2 and 4 and got more quack. I seem to be getting different results than Barenuckle is suggesting.

Right now I am not sure if I am going to keep the RWRP middle or not. I may put the other one back in.

I've never done a swap on the same guitar so I can't comment on whatever tonal differences may occur. The reasoning behind a RWRP middle is simply to eliminate hum in positions 2 & 4...I never knew of it to be a tone thing.
