To my ear, my delay and verb ar difficult to hear. Or, it sounds like they're in the back of the tone, if that makes any sense at all. They don't stand out at all.

Got both running through the loop. Some guys I listen to the verb/delay is lush and full and part of the tone. Mine not so much.

Using tc mini flashback and HOF mini.

Is it the pedals, the loop, my ears, my playing?

Now if you had an FX8 you wouldn't have that problem. :D

I have trouble dialing in a good delay as well--I usually rely on some preset I stumble upon. I know what you mean too...don't know those pedals but on my AXE and my H9 those stumbled upon presets usually end up having some sort of pitch effect involved. The Archon clip I posted earlier was the H9 "Mod Echo" algo/"Pitch Delay" preset.

I'll be watching this for tips as well...

what amp???

Hot rod Marshall clone...hand wired PTP, knobs, push/pulls, switches, ppmiv, a metro loop.

I've always thought good effects should be in the back of the tone. In other words, an effect that retains your core tone and embellishes on it. IMO reverb and delay should do just that. Now I know that crazy modulation effects like phase or flange do not really achieve that but I'm nut much for those anyway. Maybe I'm just a simpleton :dunno:

-blows my mind that people have great tube amps only to pollute it with digital-

-OP-MARSHALL style platform's break the rule on putting modulation effects out front, instead of the loop, especially analog effects-

I am having the same problem with my Marshall. Like SG Guy said try putting the delay in front of the amp.

I have not this issue with my metro loop.

Still, once I went wet/dry, it became irrelevant. I now control the level and mix of my 'verbs and delays to taste with dry signal. Over the top, or way in background.

Wet/dry or slave with your fx in between amp/reamping. Since I've been doing it this way when I plug into my amps FX loops it sounds almost bad...and I have good loops in my amps(metro and upgraded 2C+ loop). Wet/dry/slaving is the only way to go if you want unaltered pure amp tone.
