hey guys,

havent posted in YEARS but keen to get back on and see whats new.

I have a question you guys might be able to help me with.

How can i have 2 different delays... one for rythem (slight delay) and one for a solo sound (bit more of a delay)

i guess i need to turn one off while another gets turned on. anyway i can figure out a simple set up ?

At the moment i have the TC through my effects loop and use a foot pedal to turn my effects loop on and off. but this only gets me 1 delay sound to switch into.

i wanna try ditch the g sharp for delay pedals but unable to find anything as good as the g sharp in a pedal form.

Hope fully someone here can guide me.

At the moment i have a few delay pedals to try set something up if someone helps me with how i can achieve this easily

hope this makes sense !

Is the tc MIDI ? Set up a continuous controller with an expression pedal and vary delay time on the fly, you can specify a minimum and maximum time limit that can't be dropped below or go above.

This might be a bit more complex for you but I am using a Voodoo Labs GCX and a Ground Control Pro (could be any decent midi controller though) for this type of thing.

As i was typing this post out i realised i could switch with MIDI

I never thought you could do that with a expression pedal. il look into this and MIDI switching bewteen to delay settings.

Thanks !

Thanks for the info !!!

Wanna try ditch the TC rack i got for travelling.

anyway i can switch between 2 delay pedals ?? one goes off while the other one turns on ?? Without having rack gear ??

Thanks !

Do the delay pedals have to be in loop? If it's a foot switching amp Maybe have 1 in loop and another in front and put the one on floor next to which ever button lead or clean you use it on so you can stomp at same time

didnt even know these things exsited

You need an A/B loop selector pedal that alters between loop A and loop B. Put that pedal in you amp's fx-loop.
Put rhythm delay pedal in loop A and solo delay pedal in loop B. With a single click on the A/B looper pedal you will go from
one pedal to the other. If you want chorus on your solo's, put a chorus pedal before the delay pedal in loop B.
Now you will have both chorus and solo delay for your leads, and with one single click your back to rythm delay only.
Want your solos to be louder?, put an TC spark boost before the chorus and the delay pedal in loop B (if your amp fx-loop are in series).
Now you will go from rhythm delay only to full solo volume with both chorus and longer and louder delays with one single click.
Neat! (analog midi as I call it). Preset 1 and preset 2 if you will, simple.

If you only wanna switch between two different delays, get the TC flaschback 4x, it will switch from one delay to another with only one hit. And you won't need the A/B loop selector I was talking about above.
