I am wanting to add a processor to my rig in the Loop. I already have a nice LASD pedal board that covers most bases, but I want to add some programmable Delays, Reverbs, Pitch type stuff, Trems, etc. I was thinking a Lexicon MPX 1 or a TC G Major 2 would fit the bill and be in my price range. Wanted to get some opinions and possibly other Options. Thanks

If you are looking for used prices around $300, those are great choices.

I personally have never had a G Major, but hear many good things. I own a MPX-1 and loved it in my rig.
It has been transferred to the PA rack and I replaced it with an Axe FX Ultra.

Lexicon makes great stuff, I have had other units that always performed well too.
TC Electronics also makes some great gear, some in pedal form that would be in that price range too.

If you decide you want to grab an MPX-1, hit me up, I might be willing to help you out and part with mine

The G-Major 2 is to me a lot easier to program than the Lexicon stuff, but on the other hand isn´t quite as tweakable. Sounds really good, as well... in some aspects I think it sounds as good as the G-Force. The G-Major 1 simply wasn´t as good.

If it's just in the loop, the Nova System would do everything you mentioned.

My vote goes for the digitech GSP1101. IMHO it beats everything mentioned here in practically all areas; performance, quality, versatility , features, ease of use all at a ridiculously good price..

I have a nova system and a gmajor2. Both are excellent choices and really transparent. I prefer the GMajor2, only because I don't like to have extra cable runs from the floor and I already had a midi controller pedal. In addition, you can switch your amps channels with it.

This is why I have been shying away from floor based units and thinking rack would be best. Would like to avoid those extra two long cable runs. Although the convenience of having it on the floor would be nice. On second thought though I don't use any drive from the amp, just pedals. So running it in the loop wouldn't actually be necessary. Something to think about.

Kage, does the 1101 do channel switching as well?

If you're not going to use the loop and don't need channel switching, than go with the Nova. It has great delay's and reverbs, plus the boost and drive (which can only be used in front of the amp setup), plus all of the on/off/tap buttons at your feet. The only downside to the nova is that it only allows three presets per bank, so you have to go up/down banks (kind of a pain, as there is a lag in switching banks) to have more than three presets. However, with that said, you can by a CC pedal/volume pedal and setup one preset with delay and use the tap for tempo and the CC for volume of the delays, so that would fix most problems with channel changes.
