PLayed one today and they've been clearnced out from 1700 to 1000 at gc. Sounded really good but Im always hesitant to buy anything built in china, korea etc. Anyone own one? Any issues?

at 999 they are ok . The biggest concern I would have is after the sale ,if you have problems.
Go read the Egnater forum .the after sales well umm pretty . much sucks

lol, I guess Ill go with my initial gut feeling and stay FAR away

I've never cared for Egnater's take on high gain. I'd pass.

I played one a couple of times. Not really anything to write home about. If you are looking for something in that price range I would go with one of the new Randall amps.

Played one last week because I first plugged into one of the new Marshall amps which was beyond aweful. The Egnater was better and at first I thought it was cool, after a few minutes and tweaking I was ready to unplug.

I still got a new Multi watt Triple Recto for cheaper than that. :D

Just today I sold a Bogner Alchemist 1x12 to GC and bought a clearance demo Vengeance for $500!
Since the amp is new I bought the GC full 3yr warranty that even covers accidental damaged for like $94.
Egg's warranty is 3yrs, but you got get it to a certified service center. With GC I take it to any store.

Which GC had the Armageddon for $700?
GC's website still shows regular pricing, but the local stores are greatly discounting their current stock.
My Ven was on sale as a demo for $500.

I'm thinking a retube and bias to see if the HIGH gain comes in, cause so far it's moderate high gain. The one I have is not sounding like the YT video's nor some video demo's on other sites, including the one on sweetwaters website where Bruce is in the demo explaining the amp. In that demo I'm hearing the very high gain I was looking for.

From what I've read though, the Arm and Ven have the same gain and basic tone structure, and the Arm has extra features designed more for gigging guitarists, while the Ven is to get the same gain and tone in a simpler format and lower price.

Wonder why GC will no longer carry Egnater, and that includes the other online companies they own like Musician Friend.
Those are 2 huge online retailers that Egnater has lost for whatever reason.
That's gonna hurt sales.
Last month GC stopped selling Mesa.
