Egnater loop gadget: which loop, series or parallel?

title says it, which loop am I supposed to run the loop gadget through?

As far as I know it shouldn't matter . . . it should work with either, as both loops are designed to operate at line level. It's not a function of which loop you're using, but which effect unit you're using and the expected input signal it was designed for.
