The success of all the new Egnater products over the past couple of years has been amazing and overwhelming at the same time. The demands required to make this all happen has made it almost impossible for us to continue hand building the modular products as we have been for almost 10 years. For this reason, I have decided to take the manufacturing outside of our small shop in Berkley, Michigan. This decision does not come easy and without careful consideration of all the options. So, please accept this letter as official confirmation that the Egnater Modular products will no longer be hand built by Terri, Ian and Myself but will be produced by an outside contract manufacturer. Of course, I will continue to have complete control over every phase of design, production and quality. The good things that will come out of this are that the Modular products will be much more readily available and will have the worldwide exposure that never existed in the past. I will also be updating some features as well as adding a few cool new things to every model. At this time, we are completely sold out of M4 preamps. Those will not be available again until the new production takes place later this year. We do have a quantity of MOD50 heads available that we are hand building right now. These will be the last of the “hand built” ones available. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. We will also be reintroducing an updated version of the MOD100 and will finally have the E2 preamp become a reality later this year. My hope is that the expanded production and worldwide distribution will bring the Modular amps and preamps into the hands of players who previously found Egnater Modular difficult or impossible to purchase or just too expensive. I sincerely thank all of you who have remained “Eggie” fans and supporters for all these years. The future looks bright for Egnater as we move into this new phase of “Global” domination.

Thanks

Very Best Regards,
Bruce Egnater

My Modular stuff isn't going anywhere, no matter where it's made. If this means that modules might come down slightly in price, this could be a great thing for getting new modules. Maybe we can see some more new dual channel modules too, like a Mark IIc+/III series?

M4 for sale 1000.00 empty :D kidding guys,it ain't going nowhere

My Mod 50 and assorted modules are going nowhere either!! I love it too much!!

Well I've got my M4 and love it. Would never part with it. I still need to get the right mixture modules for my taste but love the VX and Bman.

Congratulations on things going so well for you and Egnater Bruce! The change makes perfect sense. I have complete faith in Egnater's design and QA, and that's the important thing. :)

Hi Bruce does this mean a change in price for the Modules?

By the way I will be attending the Tweaker Launch night in Sydney Australia, I would love to do a short video interview for GuitarNoize.com about the Tweaker if possible?

Congrats on all the success Bruce! Very well deserved and couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Bruce, I hope this new period of growth is successful for you. Best of luck...

Looking forward to your continued success Bruce. Congrats.

Bruce, could you please describe any changes in the manner in which modular will be available? I know that there is Indoor Storm and The Tone Lounge. What are the other sales outlets and who will you be adding to the list? Is there a desire to get the custom modular series at the same distribution level as the TM series?

Thanks

I just joined the Mod 50 club last month. I've already sold off most of my other amps. Good Luck and keep the great gear coming!!

Keep up the great work Bruce. Hopefully this will allow you to have the time to expand your creativity.

Hheya Bruce are these "outsourced" Mod 50s/Modules gonna look cosmeticlly any different and... are the parts (caps, resistors etc) going to be of lesser quality. Reason I ask is those of us that have proudly kept our hand made stuff might feel kinda... well not as special when tons of people will have effectiively the same exact amp but paid a bunch less.
