Hello

Wanted to test out my new Rebel 30, and decided to lay down simple ideas on the fly, just spent a few hours to put something together, nothing special, but hopefully it will showcase a little of the amp. You know the drill, warts and all, blah blah blah. All efx are post and in pro tools.

LOVED it! I have a Rebel 30 too (converted from the 20) and I have to say this clip says it all. What mic did you use - speaker placement etc if you dont mind me asking? OR did you go direct XLR? Neither of which I've done just yet as I got it just before an Eleven Rack so I've been using that more than anything.

I used a Shure SM7 and a Heil PR30 on a cab, and then mixed in the direct signal just a tad. I had to move the direct signal just a tad to get it in phase with the mic'd signal. I added another layer on the rythm single mic'd l and R just mixed in low.

The direct is aight, its a little muffled compared to a mic, but gets a good idea.

oh as far as mic placement, I pretty much put the Shure SM7 right on the cone, it seems to work well in this position. I angled the PR30 much more towards the cone, as its a bright mic. Volume was at bedroom level
