I've had one for about 4 months and haven't looked seriously at other amps to replace it since then. Is it the end all be all? Nope but it does what I want and sounds really good and sounds better than some amps I paid 3 times the money for. I like it that I can have an EL34 gain side and 6L6 clean or a blend of the two. It takes pedal really well. With my board which has some dirt pedals and a M13 it covers a ton of ground. I'm going to get an 11R to run with it to get couple of other pre amp tones and have a direct solution. The cool thing with the 11R and running it with the Renegade I can choose which power section I want depending on the channel I set it to. So if I wanted to use the Rectifier preamp in the 11R I can use the 6L6 side of the Renegade or if I want to run the Plexi in the 11R I can run the EL34 side. I think it will be pretty slick set up.

+1!I just got a new Renegade head (+old Marshall 4x12 Greenbacks).I thought it would be great to use with a E2...but it could take a while..What is a 11R ?

Renegade sounds awesome. Nice and dimensional with a very warm and pleasing drive that has just the right amount of edge to it imo.

I've had Modded Diezel Herberts with MILLS Cabs... I've got a Cameron CCV + Cab

And an aweome 79' Marshall 2203 HG JOSE Platinum, and Vintage Cab.

With my Les Paul w/Burstbucker III, The RENEGADE sounds like 87' Whitesnake! John Sykes! INSANE!

To get the best out of it, IMHO, you need the matching TM212 cab w/Elite 80's!

Very well said !I really love that OD tone !Couldn't resist...Too bad i have nobody to play with at the moment...Just playing in the studio... but i'm eager to crank it up!It should be a fantastic gigging amp!

I need to pick up some KT88's. There are some very cool features on this amp and being able to use different power tubes and changing them being a breeze is very very cool.

You can dial in a very convincing raging marshall tone with 412 thump with that rig at volumes that won't make your ears bleed. It's a nice rig indeed!

I agree. I tend to lean towards the Marshall side of things for gain and I'm able to get tones I really like. I had another jam with it last night with some friends and I was having a great time and very pleased with the tones I was getting with my rig.

it seems to be a very flexible amp. i've watched the michael j fox guitar world video numerous times.. the amp has a lot of sweetness to it

any of you guys have any reliability issues? i've read numerous forum posts where people have mentioned issues. people like to complain on the interweb though

Yeah you mainly hear the the bad becsaue people want to vent but given that I heard more issues about the Rebel 30. Rogue who posts here has a Renegade as well and neither he or I have had an issue. All amps can have issues and most of the time it's tube related.

I have a MOD 50 and it kills with the TS6550's. I bet the KT88 would be awesome for metal tones.
