Hi Everyone

Contemplating buying an egnater TM212 cab....

Has one one compared the build quality of these cabs to the likes of Avatar, Orange etc.. ??

Also, regarding the construction,

-are they void free birch ply?
-finger joint construction or similar?
-is the front baffle angled upwards?

Hi Vikk, read my other post, "Tweaker 2x12 cab question" covers much of what you want to know. At the price I would say it's void free, fingerjoint build, they are birch I do know that. Build is way above Marshall and as for others I can only give a Boogie 2x12, we all think the Egnater has it on tone, it is bigger, but the covering is a bit thin. The speakers are not angled. I use a beam blocker on one side of my 2x12 and use it closed. For a 2x12 cab it is a monster. The casters are very good quality and I think they now come with a cover, a must as I have torn the covering on mine, I have a 1936 Marshall cab that must be 20 years old and that still looks perfect. I think its the best cab that I own.

Love mine. It is big. Doesn't include a cover. Sounds great.

I have a TM212 cab & a 112 rebel cab. The 2x12 is an excellent cab. Great depth without being boomy & the Elite 80 Celestions are great. No harsh top end. You lose some depth w the 112, but it's punchy & sounds better than most other 1x12 cabs I've tried. Both great cabs.

thanks for the replies everyone!!!!

Renegade products (in general) sound really good for the price; however, my main concern is about build quality .... to be honest I haven't been impressed with their amp heads (former renegade owner).. not coz of the sound (they sound incridible IMHO) but the build standards are shabby...

Cabs are a different story altogether... and the TM212 sounds bigger and badder than most I've tried.

Just wondering if anyone has any photos of the inside of one of these??

Looking at my 2x12 today and seeing if I had some photos, I do have some of my 1x12 cab internals, I have to say I think they use butt joints or I hope a rebate joint rather than a finger joint construction. I could be wrong.

I bought played and sold a TM412 stereo cab. Sounded great. I'd get another if the price was right.
