Just curious about the method that Egnater uses for the wattage selectors on the amps. I know that Bruce explains in the manuals that it's more of a headroom thing than tone but seems like other amps I've played have a much greater effect when changing power settings. On a mini rectifier for example switching between 10 and 25 watts seems to have a greater effect tone and feel wise than going between 1 and 30 watts on a rebel 30 that I've played before. Even set at one watt I had plenty of juice for use on stage with a band. Just wondered what others experiences are.

I don't know how it works technically, but tonally it is like a subtle compressor and more apparent at high volumes. Higher wattage equals louder and cleaner, lower equals more compressed "squeezier" tone.
