Einstein + Footsw Mod + G Major = Channel & Mode switching?

Here's my setup: I've got the G Major in the Serial Loop and also running a stereo cable from the Switching Out into the Footswitch Mod jack right above the 4ohm speaker jack.

So far I can switch between 2 modes on Channel 1, but I can't switch from Channel 1 to Channel 2.

When I hit the "Level All/Relay 1+2" button and toggle "Open" and "Closed" on "Rly1 (tip)" and "Rly2 (ring)" it is switching between the modes on Channel 1 (but only 2 instead of all 3), but it won't switch from Channel 1 to Channel 2.

Help! I'm almost there.

When you have installed a mode-switching stereo jack to your amp, a single Major can only switch those modes.
Both relays off - mode 2
one on (2nd off) - mode 1
second on (1st off) - mode 3

also keep in mind that on the frontpanel your manual switch must be set to mode 2.

if you also want to switch ch1/ch2 and mstr1/2 then you either need
- another Major, Rocktron Multivalve, . . .
- a midi switcher (RJM, Engl Z 11 or so . . .)

The easiest way is to buy one of Rons 8 fold switchers (amp gizmo) and let him make an adaptor to two stereo jacks, then you can switch the modes, ch1/ch2 and master 1/2

Thank you, duesentrieb! That was extremely helpful information.

So there's no way to get the G Major to switch via the Footswitch mod between modes 1, 2 and 3 of Channel 1 -and- switch between Channels 1 and 2. Is there any way to make it work by incorporating additional technology? Like can this Amp Gizmo you talk about make it work?

Excuse me if I sound really stupid

One Major has just one stereo jack or two relais. So it can switch three sounds, not more . . .

Have a look at the amp gizmo and ask Ron, he's very helpful (and a forumite btw).

Einstein + Major, Midi from midi pedal to major AND the mini gizmo will switch you all you'll ever need via midi.

After some investigation I've found that the Voodoo Lab Control Switcher is more than $100 less than the Amp Gizmo. It has 4 jacks instead of 8 but I don't need more than 4 for what I'm doing. Any reason I shouldn't spend less and get the Voodoo Lab product? Thanks.

I'm not familiar with it, but will have a look tomorrow and confirm that it works . . .

You could also look for a (used, ebay)
Nobels MS-4
Engl Z11 (I think)
or a Rolls RP93 (thats a looper, 19" with 4 switching outs, should be around 100 $ used)
