Einstein + Herbert = Overkill?!?

I'm loving my Einstein - only 2 or 3 weeks into owning it and already thinking about Diezel #2. Would picking up a Herbert be blatant overkill? From clips I've heard, there are some things about the Einstein that I don't hear in the Herbert, so directly replacing the Einstein isn't an option, but would I be adding enough to my arsenal, above and beyond the Einstein, or is this just GAS being a jerk?

I think a D-Moll has more common ground between the two if you're looking for an amp thats einsteinish and herbish? Either way one can never have too many Diezels!

When it comes to Diezels, there's no such thing like Overkill! I guess you can't have enough :)

Not really looking for middle ground - if anything it's the other way. I'm looking for where the differences are. I love the Einstein, but just wondering if there are enough other tones in the Herbert than the Einstein can't reach. I think I'd still use the Einstein 95% of the time, but sometimes I'd want a different flavor. I'm also running a Budda Superdrive 80 for the more vintage tones, and it rules, as well as a Morgan SW100R for the big, bold cleans. Just looking to have as many tones as possible for studio work, really...

Einstein would be well complemented with a VH4 for complete contradictory personalities. Cleans are different, gain is different, crunch/dirt is different, saturated/dry.

Outside of that, Einstein paired with a Hagen would also offer some far-ended spectrums.

After I bought the Hagen for rehearsal room, I felt I need Diezel for home too - so I bought used Einstein :-)
Both in last 6 weeks ...

How do they compare? I know the guy that I got my Einstein from also had a VH4 and after I got the Einstein, he said he would have preferred to keep that and sell the VH4, as he thought the Einstein sounded better and more natural... I've never played a VH4/Hagen, so I dunno...

I found the Einstein more open than the VH4. Best thing about the Einstein was the Texas mode, for me. I didn't really feel the Lead channel but all the Channel 1 modes were great.

I bought & traded for another VH4 because I preferred the VH4 clean & like the amp's switching options. CH2 on the VH4 is probably my favorite channel of the 4. The 'lower' gain Diezel channels/modes sound amazing with ancillary overdrive & compression. I've got that channel absolutely screaming.

I'd be looking at either a Hagen or Herbert as a second Diezel if I owned an Einstein. I always figured that the Einstein was designed to be the VH4's more affordable, slightly less functional little brother, but still voiced uniquely.

Hagen sounds interesting. Seems more MARSHALL than the others.
