Einstein LED Replacement

I've got a dead "Master 2" LED on my Einstein and I already have a suitable blue LED to replace it, however I can't get it to come out of the front panel. Are they glued in, or just a mighty tight fit? I've even tried applying pressure from the outside and it still won't budge.

Any suggestions?
