Dickrose, all my amps are in the shop for tube problems so I picked up a viper 30 fri nite lol...thing is great for jamming on low volumes and such...nice vibrato btw!

Thanks, yeah for for practice, they're not bad on the cheap. Tube problems ??? Bad tubes on all of them ?

I have the Vyper VIP 2, great practice amp. The 6505 channel smokes.

I gotta check those out one day. Never played the VIP yet. Good to know. I set mine on the classic channel and drive it with the Maxon.

Those are great little amps! The high gain sounds are killer , I just wish they shined in the mid gain area as well. My opinion of course

The VIP 2 does decent mid gain with the Classic 50 or the Budda model.

Yeah I had the 5153 50 retubed and they put a bad preamp tube in there so I dropped it off yesterday to get the pre replaced and the 6505 mini crapped out on me twice! I sent it back to sweetwater and grabbed a credit for the 5153 lunchbox that's coming next month, last time I buy a Chinese made amp...

A shame because they dont sound that bad at all. I'm afraid that peavey are close to being finished in comparison of what they once were. That really sucks.

Glad to hear that the 50w is still going well.. besides the tube thing. Gotta update on the lunchbox for sure !

Are they made in mexico as well ?

Yeah theyre Mexican made, there is info about them on the net, even this forum I think, but the street price is like 600 and its supposed to be released in oct so well see, the 6505 mini sounded pretty good but I went through 2 of them in like 3 months, cant have that...

Agree, thats unacceptable for sure. Cant wait to hear it !
Speaking of incomming gear.. I have $ down on a Kramer Baretta Vintage, should be back in circulation in Nov.
