Emg pot shaft length for explorer?

Hi,

Just a quick question. I'm going to install a set of EMG 81/85 in my Explorer Pro. Do you know if I need the long shaft pots or small shaft pots?

Pretty sure the short pots will be fine - the long shafts are just for carved tops as they are thicker..

Thanks guys. The set I'm looking at actually only come with the long shafts. Would they fit as well or does it need to be short? Thanks

If long shaft is what ya got, but too long through the body, wouldn't some washers work?
