Eminence DV77?

Hey guys,

Going to order two DV77 speakers for my Bogner 412. They are small dust cap speakers like the V30, but darker. Which is odd since it has a small cap.
I want to blend them with some Celestion. I'm looking at DV-77/K-100.

Any other speakers you might suggest?

Tones I go for are a mix of 90s metal and hard rock, 2000s to current hard rock and metal!

I have mine blended with an Omega VM12-65 speaker. I think you would be better off blending them with a V30 or even a H75 Creamback. The K100/DV-77 blend may be too dark overall and the DV-77 is somewhat based on the K100 since that's what Mick was using prior to designing the DV. Just my thoughts.

I try to not blend small magnet speakers.
Small magnet speakers tend to be more narrow and biting and the DV has a small magnet like the V30.
If rather blend with a bigger fatter sounding speaker with a large dust cap.

Good point on the K100 but I read it was somewhat based on the V30, hence the design - dust cap, wattage, etc.

I watched a demo comparing the DV77 and K100 and they sounded very different and the comments of the reviewer was how well they blended.
