Dialing these babies in tonight!! Got the 2 top speakers mic'd, each with a 57. The right one is on axis, left one off axis about 55 degrees. These things fucking rule.

Sounds like a clearer, more solid low end V30 without the omnipresent mid character.

I really want a cabinet of these, a second cabinet with G12H30s, and a third regular G12M cabinet for sonic baseline.

I imagine a Mesa OS cabinet with these in it would sound absolutely killer.
 
Idk this isn’t something I ever really look at. Usually when I’m micing a speaker, I’ll just find where it sounds good. So I never really paid a lot of attention to how they would sound different. I’m usually shooting for the same kinda sound so the mic placement between speakers would typically be different enough to account for the sound changes between them, if that makes sense.
 
Sounds really good. It sounds much different than a V30 to me, not as in your face sounding. More relaxed in the upper mids.

He just wants to know if they are consistent from speaker to speaker. One way you can find this out is Mic them all dead center and have a listen.

I know Kristian said the high end does vary a bit speaker to speaker but he has yet to hear a bad sounding one.
 
I think they sound really good. I cant even describe how they sound, other than just good. Not as fizzy as Celestions, and not as hollow as some Eminence. They seem to sit between those.

I think eminence finally knocked it out of the park. I want to get a cab loaded with these.

I agree. They just flat out sound really great.
 
Man, I think I'm sold on these speakers? Much better sounding than the dv-77. Wish someone would do a comparison clip of these against a good sounding V30 in the same cab.

I'd like to hear a shootout between this, a DV77 and V30. The Karnivore sounds like it might sit right in the middle.
