Emperor 412 vs VHT FB412 p50es

Hi there been a long user on my VHT FB412 Slant cabinet and so far its what i like with my VHT amps... so recently i heard good on Emperor 412 and just headed over to their website and to my eyes these are super highgrade woodcrafted cab... !! I doubt my VHT FB412 has such a solid wood in them but i know they are made of birch...

Anyway straight to the point i didnt wanna miss anything here with my good old VHT cab but didnt wanna miss out on a better cab option either...plus the woodcraft its just superior!

Anybody tried or A/B the VHT FB412 and the Emperor 412 front load... which just sounded better? Tighter in bass and lowend response, more 3D wide open projection, and deeper in depth that holds up well? Thanks and hear from you guys on more of Emperor cab...

Check out Atlas if you're looking at Emperor. I'm not affiliated with them what so ever, and have never played either, but I was also looking into Emperor and stumbled upon Atlas and they seemed every bit as nice and I think were cheaper...The owner/builder was super responsive and willing to answer any questions. I've backed off the hunt since getting my FB412, but I can't help but wonder if an Atlas cab would sound more 3D, tighter due to the construction. Think he uses 3/4" plywood for the whole cab...solid!!!

I recently bought an Emperor 412 SS. It's the 30x30x15 rear loaded (didn't know they offer a front loaded option?). I've got X pattern G12m-65's and Alnico Creams and the cab seriously rips! Very balanced and clear, and the build quality is top notch. I've never played the VHT cab and it will probably be hard to find someone who has AB'ed the two. I can definitely recommend Emperor though, great communication and easy transaction.

Hi Mike, how are ya doing? Hope things are well for ya !! Yeah i been wanting to explore new cab i have also gotten two DV77 on order too...

Maybe i can get tighter sound wider projection on either Emperor or Atlas ?

But these cab 412 would be hell expensive to ship into my country lol

Have looked into Atlas cab from ya previous post on similar cab thread... they offer birch with front maple not sure if that projects tighter response... but i still feel Emperor looks better by just abit ... but Atlas wood package seems more appealing to me thou... thx for the introduction !! Will have to check 1 out !!
