No need for the box. I think you can solder a TRS jack at one end of a midi cable in 5 minutes and it will work right away.

Very interested in the Empress reverb. The few clips I have heard sound great. Going to have to wait till it shows up used, as this is over 4 times what I paid for my current reverb pedals. I see this as competing with the $500 Strymon BigSky, which is cool, but everyone in P&W seems to be using.
