In very good condition, how much would these go for?

That's what I was thinking. This guy is asking waay too much.

$200 is what an unloaded Avatar cab would sell for. The Orange cabs are usually about $1000 new and $700-$800 used so you could reasonably expect to pay at least $400-$500 for an unloaded cab.

A new Avatar cab, yes. I would not value a used unloaded Orange cab for $400-$500, which is close to half the value new. I see it as being worth less than half, in the $200-$300 range.

I dunno. What is the value of it being Orange? Just recognition? If you are wiring and loading it yourself, I would think the Orange name wouldn't mean much. I know that cabs are more than just any wood box, but I personally wouldn't pay $440 for an Orange empty cab, if I could have one with birch construction, a good tolex, corners, caster, front screen for $220.

Well a new Avatar cab is about $350 including shipping. I just think a large part of what you are paying for with an orange cab is the way it is constructed and the quality of materials. I dont see top quality unloaded cabs sell for $200 very often but maybe things are different elsewhere. Mojotone makes excellent unloaded cabs if you are looking for something nice but they might be more expensive now than when I last bought one.

$700-$800 minus the cost and hassle of having to buy and install new speakers is $200-$250. I could see going as high as $350 if someone really wanted an Orange cab, but past that is getting silly... although regional prices may dictate otherwise.

You guys are crazy. Orange's are 18 ply versus the traditional 13 ply. If you just want a cab get a cab. $200 for an empty orange is ridiculously under priced. They cost more because the materials to build them cost more. They're awesome cabs. Not for everyone though. I think you guys are wanting something for nothing.

I'll give you that $200 is probably on the low side, depending on condition. Still, the cab isn't worth above $400... by the time I factor in what it would cost for a new set of speakers I could buy a brand new, pre-loaded cab and still walk away with money left over in my pocket....

Thanks for all your opinions guys. I wanted exactly that, various outlooks and the reasoning behind them. Lets me look at it from every perspective.
