ENGL amps and Midi Footcontrollers? Need a little help.

I am trading my EVH for an Engl Invader 150 this Tuesday and it only has one of the small foot switches that comes with it. I would like to have full control over the amp and I know it's a Midi amp so I wanted to see if I can use the 8 button midi controller I have. Unfortunately I have spent the past hour looking for the user manual for the amp to no avail.

Does anyone have experience with the process for programming a midi footswitch? I know the amp has a write/copy button on the front panel, is programming as simple as set the amp to the channel, loop selection and all the settings you want, press write/copy button and then press the corresponding button you want to use on the foot controller?

I appreciate some insight.

Take whatever midi pedal u like. Push say no 1 on the midi pedal ,set the amp how u like, now hold the write copy button until it bilnks. Done. Follow procedure for number 2,3,etc

Yeah, Fuego is right, the amp needs to see a program number from the controller first and then save its settings to that number. It doesn´t send any info to the controller, MIDI isn´t a two-way street normally.

You know, I saw that link and read it and thought "this won't be english" lol My ADD was kicking hard trying to find it because the Engl website doesn't seem to have it for whatever reason.

It was a long weekend for me forgive my idiocy lol
