Engl Blackmore V2 vs EVH 5150 III 6L6

Thoughts on the Blackmore V2 bs the OG 5150 III 100 watt head. I’ve owned the 5153 before, so I know what I’m getting there. But Vivian Campbell’s live tone is haunting me as some of the best hard rock tone I have ever heard. I’d love to hear thought on both amps. Thanks!

They're both a bit processed sounding to me. The Engl much more than the OG 5153. The 5153 sounded pretty good on the Blue ch boosted, but the red Ch for me was unusable. Extremly processed/artificial sounding and way over gained and compressed. You already know what to expect on the 5153 and must like it to consider again. The Blackmore and AE are touted on forums as being the more raw/least processed sounding Engls, but I felt they sounded very artificial/overly processed. Not very raw or natural to me. Not a bad thing, just are what they are.
