Anyone have any trusted Engl dealers they can recommend?

internet searches are turning up nothing, the once recommended dealer back in 2006 no longer exists, and the engl site has not been updated since '08 for dealers it seems?

anyone know of any dealers on this side of the coast that are legit and have good pricing?

thanks

if he still carries them, Josh Sage at Rebel Amps was always standup in my dealings with him.

If you can't find anyone, MF still carries ENGL afaik. Maybe you can convince Brad to start selling them. ;)

already tried to convince Brad, he tried to convince me to get a cameron, thats a big nope

thanks for the replies, ill look into either of them

trying to get some engl pro cabinets (not the XXL's)

Musician's Friend, or the Mad Ape in WA.

Good choice, btw.

Have you had experience with the Mesa Rectifier Cab? It's a lot easier to come by, and a lot cheaper :)

this may sound stupid, but only an engl cabinet sounds like an engl cabinet. it just has this tone to it that cannot be replicated. ive always liked the tone from them on record, its harder to distinct the differences live though. I made my choice against splawn, VHT, Hiwatt replications, randall cabinets, THD's, owned an original 1983 marshall cabinet and liked my 5150 cabinets better, never liked mesa's. Engl's have came to the top of my list for projection and quality, a pair of splawn cabinets would most likely be the next viable option?

Rainbow Music in State College, PA. I know they have at least one pro cab in stock...you might be able to get a good deal on it.

Wrong coast but it is a cool setup: http://www.engl-amps.com/cms/index.php?id=210

Is he still in biz?

edit: looks like his website is still up. Just don't see him around much anymore.

Motor City Guitar in Waterford, MI had 4 or 5 new cabs in stock when I was in there this week.

I agree with Erock, Josh sold me my first Engl. Erock sold me my last Engl.  Damn, I love this amp.

Anyway, what are you thinking about getting glpg80?

looking to get a matching pair of engl pro cabinets (not the XXL's) loaded with V30's and put them in locking cases for hauling around.

still undecided whether i want a slant/straight or two straights. i plan to take them to gigs (not shit holes, ill have an avatar 2x12 for that) and practices just like the 5150 cabinets, refuse to spend that kind of dough and not get the most out of them.

i have had two 5150 cabinets for a little over 6 years and used them for practice, live playing back when i was in 2 cover bands, an original band at the same time and at home. they have worked great to take to gigs and get the job done, but i have been wanting something different, better, more versatility for future projects in B standard, it is just time to upgrade and move on. 5150 cabinets are great work horses but cabinets are as much a part of your tone as anything else - great sounding and get the job done, but it is just time to move on.

looking for dealers to start comparing shipping and pricing, $2,000 in cabinets at once would be expensive to ship + the cabinet case costs. possibly looking to do all of this come tax return time, i was going to buy a new guitar but decided not to
