Been thinking of gettIng one to peel some paint. Read the archives and heard clips and it sounds vicious. Thoughts?

The Mille Petrozza (Kreator) version (extreme aggression) sounds more brutal if you can find one.

They're very good at hard rock and metal. Nice clean channel too. Never tried the extreme aggression.

I had one and wasnt fan of it, seemed too scooped even with the mids up, didnt cut well in a mix for me, has a stupid amount of gain thats not really usable..

I'm kind of torn. I've heard a few vids that sound killer, and a few that sound overly scooped and muffled. Saw a few where it was clean boosted and it sounded great. Smoothed it out a little and gave it a wicked grind. Just looking for something in contrast to the Marshall flavors that I've got going on.

Pretty much sums up my experience.
I never had the opportunity to blast it to see if the scoopiness reduces, but at low volumes it was pretty dark and scooped, which for me wasn't what I was looking for.

Brutal as fuck. Cuts just fine. Also has a mid boost. I don't think any other amp sounds like it.
Learn to EQ live n you'll be fine naysayers.

Must have been the Fireball 60 ...There is going to be some confusion unfortunately .... They should have named the Fireball 100 a completly different amp because its so much different than the first version which was 60 watts. The 60 watt version was scooped and didnt cut well in a mix. The new 100 watt version is a beast and kills in a mix. Trust me I used it in a two guitar Metal band and it is awesome for that. Some of the other ENGL amps do not cut as well as the Fireball 100 I have benn fortunate enough to own most of them and try them live.

The Fireball 100 is a sleeper amp, for the price especially used its a killer deal.

You have the extreme aggression model right? I have one for sale if any f you guys are interested. It's tighter and more aggressive than the fireball 100. Definitely doesn't need any pedal boosting it or lacking in cut at all

I'm very familiar with the Framus Cobra. How does it compare to it? Also, is it very cab sensitive? I've got a Splawn 4x12 with Greenbacks, a Marshall 4x12 with Scumbacks, and an old Marshall 4x12 with G12 65's. Would it get along with those cabs?

As much as I like the Cobra I would say the Fireball 100 isnt very similar. The Cobra is more unique almost to a fault in ways. If anything they both share that low mid kinda bark but the Fireball 100 can't do that super open and raw thing the Cobra can do on the crunch channel. And the Cobra can't do what the Fireball does on the lead channel.......Fireball is less picky with cabs

Yes an extreme aggression it's mad violent. Nothing sounds like this amp. We just tracked our new album w it and a diamond. The mid boost is crazy !
