I played a fireball about 3 weeks ago at GreazyGeo's shop. i want that fucker i like it more than the blackmore. I have got to get the funds to get this amp. or trade George a mark series mesa lol(he hates them).

What do Engl fireballs go for used?

Also has anyone compared the fireball to the powerball? i know the Se and Invader and all that are supposed to be better, but for the price of the fireball. screw it simple layout and good tone out of the box.

You can trade in your Mesa if you want..I don't like them, there are others that do (how I don't know lol). Someone will buy it.

I sold mine for 850$ w/footswitch last year.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

no problem George always does me better than good, so i am sure he'll work out something with me.

Thanks JC

Around $900 or so for a used Fireball.

What did you like better about the fireball over the Blackmore. If I got another engl it would be the Blackmore....

The Fireball has more gain and saturation. It sounds like a more angry 5150.

I used to own a fireball, and haven't played a blackmore. The Fireball was not my thing at all, too much of a one trick metal pony. That is why I was asking about the comparison....

Yeah the BM is alittle more laid back and of course more options since it has more channels. Still kind of a 5150 type voiced amp. More headroom in the BM with the bigger power section.

both the blackmore and the engl sound great. i do like the blackmore but the fireball is just simple and straight forward. thats all i want simple and mean and pissed. and gigging volume wise it's still plenty loud.

no matter how loud george says i am

who the hell is george?

i almost bought a fireball...i found a different one trick pony, mesa mark III, for cheaper.

a one trick pony is okay as long as it does that one trick very well...and you don't need it to do another trick.

greazygeo is george he owns a music store.

i never thought a mark III was a one trick pony? it seems to be able to cover alot of ground imo. especially with the graphic eq and reverb. plus you got high gain lead then rhythm and clean

I own /have owned the fireball, powerball, savage 120 and the SE. The main difference in tone between the fireball and powerball is that the fireball has more grit while the powerball is more smooth and has a better clean. The SE is like a powerball (gain wise) with more features.
