The ENGL Savage is so versatile, but I was skeptical to use it on an indie band I'm recording. I just boosted the clean channel VERY LIGHTLY with an od-808 and mic'ed the cab with an sm7b and a 421, it ended up working out perfectly for their sound. This just goes to show the insane amount of ground the Savage 120 can cover.
