Which is better ? I'm gonna get it for my current amp(ht5h) and future amp (Peavey 5150/5150II).

I want to give more balls to amp.

EQ in the loop by far!! Totally will enhance this amp more then any boost.

On certain I use an old MXR EQ,the big ugly blue EQ.
And it's noisey

The regular MXR ten band eq will be fine ?
This pedal is quiet ?

Get a rack parametric and put it in front. It will act as both an eq and boost
and will give you damn near total control over the output and tone of the amp.

I didn't like the newer 10 band EQ,I like the old 70's version.
It seems to have more beef to it,darker.

Both, get the empress para eq, killer boost and tone shaping all in one.

Anyone of you tried the Way Huge Green Rhino ?
I know it's based od tubescreamer but without one defect - It will don't cut the low end ( due to little 100hz knob)

This pedal will be good for boosting ?

I use a Boss 7 band EQ in the loop...
and a Timmy clone in front of the amp. Sounds really killer.
Lot of tonal possibilities for sure with this combo.

M108

I use mine in place of a boost often. It's great for that and can get the job done without effecting the tone if you set it flat and just use the volume & gain sliders.

you're looking for the gary holt tone right?

we covered this..... use the presonus peq3 ahead of your amp.

just about any graphic in the loop of a 5150 will tighten it up just fine.

Yeah I know but now Presonus is very rare to find (discontinued) ...

Not bad , they are all almost new.

What are the differences between this sonorus and MXR 10 band eq ?
I don't want to copy exact gary tone , but I want to create my tone on his basis. So I really don't know if this Sonorus will work for me :)

a parametric and a 10band are worlds apart. jsyk.
Well I guessed that but in which way ? what are the differences ?

I really don't see many musicians with parametric eq .... Most of them use regular 10 band eq or they are playing without any additional eq .
