Hey guys, we need more RTers in vegas! The mrs and I went to the Eric Johnson show last night and as usual, he didn't disappoint. His 3 piece have been on the road, overseas, etc for awhile and the band is really tight. They were playing a smaller club at the hard rock, so the entire setup was slightly scaled back. No plexi stacks, they used a smaller rig which they carry on the road too. Aside from a few PA issues (VERY slight), the sound was really good! They played for a good hour and a half, going through a decent selection of all his material as well as several covers.
EJ was gracious and great to talk to, although we didn't stay for too long since they had to hit the road quickly. He had some really good words about our EMB Audio Remote wahs too, which was really cool. His tech has one and Eric is wanting to use it in the studio for his next release =)
Definitely a living legend...check out a show if there's one near you!!
Eric's amps. Since the venue was much smaller than they're used to, they subbed in the 18watt marshall for the full stacks.
