I bought my JP6 BFR over a year ago and it's still what I play 90% of the time. I can find good things about my other guitars but they all fall short compared to my EBMM. It plays and sounds so nice. It's also as comfortable as anything I've played. A few months back I went to fellow forumite Hard n heavy aka Gregs house to play through some of his killer amps. While there I did a quick A/B with Gregs white Suhr. I love this particular Suhr by the way. Well at no point did I feel my EBMM was out classed. Both guitars were definitely "top shelf" shredders and I'm willing to be that most guitar players would enjoy playing either. Definitely feel like I have a keeper.

I've had two EBMM. A white JP6 that I ordered brand new a few years back fully loaded. At the time there was practically no white JP6's around, which is why I had to order it and wait about 8 months to get it from EB. I sold it like a year later because I got into collecting ESPs.

3 years ago I bought a killer trans blue EBMM Axis Super Sport, which I've always wanted and it was a great guitar and the neck was super comfortable to play on. I traded that one for an Ibanez Jem though a year ago.

The ONLY thing that I very much dislike is the color of EBMM guitars. My JP6 was more of a creamy off white in person, but with camera flash it was SUPER WHITE. It didn't match any of my other white guitars. My trans blue Axis was dark blue with camera flash, but more aqua in person. The colors with the flash is the colors I'd prefer to have had.

Bought my first EBMM in 2007. It was the first run of JP6 BFR's and its trans black. Love it! The neck is very thin, turns many off. It sustains for days and sounds very thick. It's like a les Paul in shredder form.

I then purchased a Axis in trans blue burst with a d-tuna. I love the feel also, eventhough its totally different than the JP6. I use it for short sets when I don't have time to switch guitars in between songs for drop tunings. Only problem is I play better live with the longer scale length of the JP6. The strings are too slinky with the axis and I tend to pull notes Sharp.

My Axis is my #1 guitar. I love the feel and the sound of it. Fits me very well

I've owned 4 Axis guitars, both regular and super sports...plus an MM90 Axis. I owned a Silhouette with a factory floyd, a Silo Special, a LUKE and a JP for a while

I wish I was wealthy enough to have kept all of them...but I will never get rid of my trusty amber axis

Love my EB Axis. I've had this guitar for approximely 8yrs and it hangs w/ all my GMW's. I'm a huge GMW guy so that is saying something. I'll also add that the axis requires alot less neck tweaking then my GMW's. My only complaint is the small frets.

You're right! I just always figured it was shorter because of how it plays. Hmmm, maybe its all in my head then?

I want to try a JPX1 which has jumbo stainless steel frets. I'm betting it's a dream to play.

Some of those are very cool and fun to play sometimes, but the Axis with a D-Tuna is just a superb all around workhorse. For the price, especially used, the fit, finish, feel and tone are hard to beat.

Sure, a couple recent vids with the purple Axis hidden behind the music stand. Man I hate videos, they are so unforgiving. This a new band we just put together a few months ago. Still working out a lot of kinks but we're having fun.

I have had on again/off again "relationships" with EVH's since '95 No matter what guitars come and go; I always end up coming back to them. Some people say they feel too small but they fit me just right and the necks are perfect for me as well. I sold the final remaining evh in my collection back around 2005 to help fund an engagement ring for my my wife and I wasn't gigging a whole lot and I bonded with a McCarty. The prices soon went through the roof and it took me until June of this year to find one at a price I could live with - at a pawnshop of all places.

I had several EBMM's but I found I prefer the Suhr Moderns so I sold all my Balls ordered a few Moderns which I love. However, Suhr does not make their 7 string model left handed yet, so I bought a JP7 at the same price as the fully loaded 6 string model and had it modded to my liking.

Replaced the fretboard with ebony, scalloped 12-24, radiused to 21", jumbo stainless steel frets, BKP's, and all sorts of push/pull options.

The total for all the work plus the guitar still was cheaper then new JP7's go for. Sometimes it pays to be a lefty when dealers need to move out old stock.

I got two of them, one a JP6 and the other a BFR. I like the BFR better, it's thicker sounding and has more sustain. I'll probably sell the roasted neck one to finance the new one.
